Few destinations in the world can match the number of mid-mountain, ski-in/ski-out properties that Deer Valley offers. But while a click-in-and-go location may be heaven for intermediate and advanced skiers, beginners may feel intimidated if the access run is too steep. Thankfully, Deer Valley’s slope-side diversity covers green skiers, too! Black Diamond Lodge

This ski-in/ski-out lodge sits near the base of Deer Valley Resort for easy access to ski school and a wide variety of gentle slopes. Skiing in is a breeze via the beginner  Little Stick run. Intermediate and advanced skiers can take the Carpenter and Silver Lake Express chairs for access to all six of Deer Valley’s mountains.

Mountain Crest Villa

This 6-bedroom ultra-luxury villa sits near the top of the Jordanelle Gondola in the gated community of Deer Crest at Deer Valley Resort. The green Deer Hollow run offers easy access to the base, while more advanced skiers can take advantage of fun mogul runs and steep terrain on Deer Crest Mountain. The more challenging Empire Mountain is just two lifts away.

Sterling Lodge

The Sterling Lodge is nestled on the tail-end of the Silver Link run, offering premium access to Silver Lake, Deer Valley’s mid-mountain base. Silver Link earns a “blue” designation for a steep upper slope, but the lodge sits on the mellow bottom half for a gentler slope to the base. From here, skiers of different abilities can take virtually any lift up together and find a comfortable way down — be it green, blue or black.

Silver Strike Lodge

Sometimes, the easiest way to enjoy ski-in/ski-out access as a group is to choose a lodge at the base of a chairlift. The Silver Strike Lodge’s namesake lift whisks skiers to the top of Flagstaff Mountain, where four beginner runs, six intermediate slopes and two black diamond runs await. Advanced skiers can also easily access Empire Mountain, known for tree runs, powder and moguls.

 6 Bellemont Home

This 6-bedroom home is a great option for groups with beginners who want to test themselves on intermediate terrain. The home sits on the green Silver Dollar run, a residential ski loop which briefly connects the blue Last Chance run before ending on the green success run. The wide, sunny slopes in the Snow Park area are ideal for getting comfortable on new terrain.

Staying at a slope-side vacation home can be a special experience for a family, particularly as kids grow older and become more independent. Staying ski-in/ski-out allows parents, kids, and even grandparents to hit the slopes at their leisure with no need to coordinate a ride to the resort or force everyone in the group to ski the same amount of time. The Laughing Ranch - This 5-bedroom home was designed for families, complete with a “Kids Only” playroom. Ski access is through a wooded trail to the intermediate slopes of Silver Lake at Deer Valley Resort. 816 Woodside - This 5-bedroom home is actually 30 meters from Park City Mountain Resort’s Quit’n Time run, for a ski-boot walk of about 40 seconds — just long enough to warm up and click in.
